Hannah Mary (Wile) Jordan

Hannah Mary (Wile) Jordan, 89, of Wolfville passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2024 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville, with her family by her side. Hannah was born on July 15, 1934 in Vaughan, NS to Reuben and Laura (Wile) Wile. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend, who took great pride in her family and friends. She was a lifetime member of The Apostolic Church in Canada and involved in many roles as Sunday School teacher, Superintendent and Deaconess. During Michael’s school years Hannah was active as Chair of the Home and School Association. Hannah was a lifelong caregiver in her home first, to her in-laws and children, then in her community to other families. Her desire was to be a teacher or librarian and this passion was passed on to her family.

Hannah is survived by her children, Brian, his wife, Lois [their children, Jared, Melodie and Kristen]; Nancy, her husband, Peter [their children, Nick (Stephanie), Sarai and Nakita (Peter)]; Charles, his wife, Hannah [their children, Laura (Fisher) and Erin]; Cameron, his wife, Betty [their children, Tyler (Danielle), Jessie (Graeme) and Cole]; Michael, his wife, Tammy [their children, Kyle and Kelsey]; 14 great-grandchildren: Sebastian; Paxton, Xavier, Xyla; Hannah, Phoebe, Jack, Simon; Isabella, Julia, Samuel; Sophie, Naomi and Ava; siblings, Harold (Marguerite), Daniel, Melbra Trenholm, Edwin (Denise), Bernard (Anne); many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Reuben and Laura Wile; her husband of 63 years, Avard (2014); an infant daughter, JulieAnna; brothers, Leslie, Paul, Everett and David; sisters, Grace Riley and Lorrena Lowthers.

The family would like to thank VON and Careforce home support workers, staff at the Valley Regional Hospital, especially Doctors McPherson, Edwards and Nunn and Nursing staff in ICU and surgical step-down units.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held from 6-8pm Sunday, March 31, 2024 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, where the funeral service (with livestream) will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, April 1, 2024. Burial will take place at a later date in the Greenfield Cemetery, Kings County. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
