James Robert Blair

James Robert Blair - 75, of Waterville, Kings County passed away peacefully on March 24, 2024, in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Waterville, he was the son of the late Leslie and Evelyn (Bains) Blair. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was predeceased by his brothers, Johnny, Wilfred, Daniel and Allison; sisters, Pauline Knock and Marion Smith. James is survived by his son, Jimmy, Berwick; daughters, Tammy Dempsey, Kentville; Melissa (Joseph) Corbett, Welsford; Laura Blair, Waterville; and 10 grandchildren. James was a well-known painter most of his life, who could be heard whistling a tune always while he worked. In the spring and summer, you could find him on the banks of rivers or out on the lake with son, Jimmy fishing. He will be greatly missed. Cremation has taken place and the funeral service will be he held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 7, 2024 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. Donations in memory may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
