It is with heavy hearts that we share that our Angel, Kim Welton, 66, of Berwick, passed away in her sleep on March 30, 2024, of natural causes. Born in Sudbury, ON she was a daughter of the late Edwin and Lorna (Hiltz) Jess.

Kim was full of love for a lot of people, and if you met Kim, you would not forget her. Kim worked hard all her life, most recently she worked as a cashier at Walmart in New Minas. While working, Kim was known to sing Christmas songs all year long. She loved Christmas.

Kim had many hobbies, and she was a master at all of them. Kim loved family gatherings, and she loved spending time at the summer cottage on Gaspereau Lake with Charles and Sandy, her kitty cat. Kim liked spending time with friends, of which she made lots of. Kim enjoyed shopping, movies, and going for long drives but cooking great food and baking monster cookies was her thing.

Kim would do anything for anyone. She was a kind soul, and she will live on in our hearts forever. Kim was battling so hard to get back on her feet after a motor vehicle accident in late 2021 that changed her life and the lives of everyone around her. The family would like to thank CBI Berwick; the VON; all the doctors and nurses; Kim's heroes, the Kentville firefighters who saved her life; her husband, Charles, who did all he could for her after the MVA; her daughter, Crystal who gave endless time and love to her mom, and so many others who helped in Kim's recovery.

Kim is survived by her husband, Charles; daughter, Crystal Dawn Haggerty (Steven Eisnor); sister, Reta (Stanley) Watton; grandson, Byron Burton (Alisha Kelly); great-grandchildren, Linden, and Lillee-Mae; brother-in-law, Don Welton; nephew, Joseph Jess; nieces Emily and Abby Welton; bonus daughters, Fawn, and Sheila as well as her "long lost" son Steven Haggerty.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sistersSusan Steadman, and Dale Jess; as well as her nephew, Richard Watton.

Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. A celebration of Kim’s life will take place on August 24, 2024, at the summer cottage.

Donations in memory may be made to Kentville Volunteer Fire Department. Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville. Online condolences and inquiries may be directed to www.whitefamilyfuneralhome.com.
