Deloris Ellen "Dolly" Milberry

Dolly, as she was always known, passed away peacefully at Grand View Manor, Berwick, on March 28, 2024. She was born in Glace Bay on January 1, 1932 to parents, Rodger and Rebecca (MacDonald) Leonard. Dolly trained as a nurse in Sydney and moved to Digby when she married her husband, Richard. There she worked as a nurse in the maternity department at Digby General Hospital until her retirement. Nursing was her passion, and she was loved by all who knew her. Dolly was an active member of Grace United Church, Rebecca Lodge, and Digby Curling Club. Eventually, Dolly moved to Bridgewater, then to Kentville, and later to the Grand View Manor.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Richard; two sons, Eric and Mark; as well as her sister, Kay. Surviving are brother-in-law, Brian Milberry, New Minas; best friend, Kenneth Young, New Minas; sister, Norma, Truro; as well as grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Thanks is extended to all the staff working in Rainforth unit at Grand View Manor for their kindness, love and care. Thanks also to Dr. Matt Targett. Dolly would praise them in one word, "awesome".

Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or funeral service. At a later date, Dolly will be buried in Digby at the family cemetery lot with other family members. Donations in memory may be made to the IWK Foundation or a charity of your choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
