Michael Wayne Keddy

1976-2024

Michael Wayne Keddy

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Michael Wayne Keddy, age 48, of Kentville on April 11, 2024. Born in Berwick, he was the beloved son of Eddie and Catherine (McKay) Pelton.

Michael worked at Webster Farms in Cambridge for 28 years. He had so much enthusiasm for the farm and truly loved what he did. His coworkers described him as "the most agile person on the farm, able to do back flips off the packing trailers and to scale the kilns better than any teenager or 20-something." To Michael, the farm was his second home and a place he felt the happiest.

He was very active, in fact most of us had a hard time keeping up with him. He loved to fish, play lawn darts and baseball. He also played hockey year-round, enjoyed snow shoeing, skiing and the list goes on. He was known by many as "backflip Mike" for his self-taught tricks and flips. He spent countless hours with his daughter, learning dance moves and challenging her and her friends to dance offs. Michael loved to entertain and could always put a smile on your face.

Michael was incredibly social and really made everyone feel special. Always stopping to talk and coming up with nicknames for those he loved most. He was genuine, loyal, funny, quick, he was a hard worker and would do anything for anyone. He touched many hearts and will be loved and missed by everyone who knew him.

For Michael, his family always came first, and he made sure that his loved ones knew just how much he loved them. His consistent expressions of love will be cherished and missed dearly by his family. In Michaels 48 years, he left a lasting legacy of character and heart his friends and family will never forget.

He is survived by his daughter, Haleigh (Jon Enserink) and two grandchildren, Jack and Maizie, of Cambridge; brothers, Jeffery (Angie Miller) Keddy, Princeton BC, and Robert (Hayley) Keddy, Aylesford; sister, Debra (Ashley Veinotte), Aylesford; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
