Brian Charles Isnor

1946-2024

Brian Charles Isnor

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Brian Charles Isnor (77 years old), a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many. Brian's journey on this earth may have come to an end, but the memories of his remarkable life will forever remain etched in our hearts.

Born on May 30, 1946 in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Brian was the eldest son of Mary (Wallin) Isnor and the late Charles Isnor. From a young age, Brian displayed a remarkable talent and passion for electrical work, which he cultivated alongside his father and eventually turned into a successful career spanning over 55 years. As the owner and operator of Brian C. Isnor Electrical, Brian was renowned for his impeccable craftsmanship and unwavering dedication to his clients. His work ethic was surpassed only by his kindness, respect, and dignity, which he extended to everyone he encountered. Brian would be pleased to know the business he put so much care into is going to continue thriving in trusting hands after his passing.

Beyond his professional achievements, Brian's greatest joy in life was his family. He married his beloved Gloria at a young age, and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories in Gaspereau. Whether embarking on outdoor adventures, tending to their home and pets, or cruising the countryside in his beloved vehicles, Brian found solace and contentment in the company of his loved ones. Brian treasured his camping trips to Keji, horseback riding adventures, square dancing with friends and snowmobiling.

In addition to his mother, Brian will be deeply missed by his wife, Gloria (Benedict) Isnor and their children, Luanne Isnor (June) and Kendall (Trish) Isnor; adored grandchildren, Hannah and Nathaniel; brothers, Dale (Suzanne) and David (Lorraine); sisters, Brenda (Bob) Zwicker and Karen Westcott; as well as brother-in-law Bob Janes and several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Brian was predeceased by his father, Charles; and sisters, Wanda Janes and Mary Lou Eye (Michael).

Cremation has taken place. In keeping with Brian’s wishes there will be no visitation or formal funeral service. A Celebration of Life will be held from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, April 26 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. Please come as you are, no suits and ties required. There will be an opportunity for those who wish to share stories, memories, or poems starting at 7:00 p.m. If you would prefer, please bring a written copy with you to be read on your behalf.
