Nina Elizabeth Henshaw

Nina Elizabeth (Thorpe) Henshaw, 94, of Aldershot, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, April 28, 2024. Born in Pereau, she was a daughter of the late Guy and Jeanette (Greencorn) Thorpe. In her early years, she enjoyed working in her garden, knitting and crocheting, watching soaps, going for drives and visiting. Nina was predeceased by her husband, Joseph; son, Howard; granddaughter, in infancy, Elizabeth Ann Flynn; brothers, Ellsworth "Al", Gordon, Glen, Grant and Kenneth; sisters, Bernice, Reta, Myrtle and Sheila; as well as son-in-law, Joey Flynn. She is survived by her daughter, Helen Flynn; son, Percy (Carolyn) Henshaw; sister, Leona Greencorn; grandchildren, Darren (Karla) Henshaw, Denisa (Bruce) Mossman, Samantha (Jeff) Rynard; great-grandchildren, Amellyia, Bryton, Dillion, Jesse, Joseph, Josh, April and Holly and great great grandchildren, Brady, Katrina, Phillip and Gabi. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation, by request. The funeral service (with livestream) will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Reverend Gary Manthorne officiating. Interment will be held in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill. The family wishes to thank the Annapolis Valley VON, palliative care team, Angela Levy and Wanda Downey for all their love and care.
