Darrell Jay Jordan

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Darrell Jay Jordan, of Forest Hill, on April 26, 2024, in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville, at the age of 64.

Born on October 14, 1959 in Wolfville, he was a son of the late Raleigh and Marguerite (Harris) Jordan.

Darrell was employed with Michelin for 39 years before retiring in the fall of 2022. In his younger years, he was an accomplished athlete participating in soccer, track and field, and basketball. His passion for basketball continued on after high school as well as a new love for softball. As his participation in sports decreased, he enjoyed watching his children and later watching his grandchildren participate in their chosen sports.

Darrell developed a love for hunting and fishing with his dad and brother, which he later passed on to his children and grandchildren.

Darrell will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 41 years, Linda (Davidson) Jordan; daughters, Tiffany (Bradford) Berry, Talitha (Kenneth) Blenkhorn, and son Dylan Jordan; grandchildren, Zoey, Zakhariah, Zander, Zane, Wyatt, Aliyah, Lincoln; sister, JoAnn (Laurie) Coldwell; sister-in-law, Karen Davison, and brother-in-law, Kendall (Angela) Davidson; nieces, nephews and extended family.

In addition to his parents, Darrell is predeceased by his brother, Bradford Jordan; parents-in-law, Murrille and Maurietta (Dorman) Davidson, and brother-in-law, Charlie Davison.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, where the funeral service (with livestream) will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 9th, Reverend Gary Manthorne officiating. Interment will take place in the Greenfield Cemetery, Kings County.
