It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Elsie Ann (Messom) Davidson on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 in Wolfville Nursing Home, now in a peaceful sleep, the same as her husband, Sheldon Mineral Davidson, who predeceased her on October 17, 2017.

Elsie was born in Hortonville, to the late Robie and Blanche (Keddy) Messom and Sheldon was born in Gaspereau to the late Axmoth and Lottie (Stiverson) Davidson.

Elsie was very close to her family and was always doing something for or with them. She enjoyed flowers and loved going for walks with Sheldon. Sheldon worked for many years as a mechanic and a carpenter. He was a helpful man who was always ready to lend someone a hand. Sheldon enjoyed music and he taught himself to play the fiddle, on which he liked to play a tune for his family.

Together they are survived by their son, Tom (Wanda); daughter, Ellen (Robert); five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Elsie is survived by her brother, Butch and sister, Marie. Together, they were predeceased by their great-granddaughter Bianca. As well as their parents, Elsie and Sheldon were both predeceased by many siblings.

In accordance with their wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. A private family burial for Sheldon took place at the time of his death.

Donations in memory may be made to The Worldwide Work of Jehovah’s Witnesses, or to the Wolfville Nursing Home. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
