Philip Plourde

1947-2024

Philip Plourde

It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Philip Plourde, 77, of Delhaven on May 11, 2024. Born in Montreal, Philip was a son of the late Rene and Ann (Wilmott) Plourde.

In 2018, Philip made the move from Jasper, Alberta to Nova Scotia with his beloved wife Andrée. He worked as a goldsmith and together he and Andrée opened a studio in Wolfville, where they specialized in custom goldwork.

Philip is remembered as a generous and giving man who was so good with people. He was known to do small jewelry repairs for the Acadia students and ask for nothing in return. He was a good and loving husband. Philip was hardworking and had a seemingly endless supply of energy. He is dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.

Philip is survived by his wife, Andrée (Chenard) Plourde and son, Pierre (Veronique). In addition to his parents Philip was predeceased by his sister Eva.

Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Donations in memory may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada. Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville. Online condolences and inquiries may be directed to www.whitefamilyfuneralhome.com.
