Alton Briant Greencorn

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved father Alton Briant Greencorn, of Medford.  Dad passed away peacefully on August 3, 2024 at the age of 85.  Born in Kentville, he was the son of the late Chester Greencorn and Eliza (Carrigan) Greencorn. He was predeceased by his wife, Viola; his beloved dog Jake; siblings, Isabelle, Katherine, Florence, Gertrude, Curtis, and Cecil. He leaves behind his daughters, MaryAnn (Bob), Kingsport; Connie (Dale), Sheffield Mills; Terry (Gardy), Waterville; Charlene (Devon), Windsor; 12 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Leona, Canning; Marion, Kentville. Dad worked at the Canso Fish Plant, Canard Poultry, and Kentville Publishing. He loved listening to country music, baseball, and hockey; his favourite teams were Toronto Blue Jays and Toronto Maple Leafs. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cancer Society. A private family service will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
