Janice Anne Smith

It is with profound sadness and love that we announce the passing of a wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Janice Anne Smith (nee Skipper), peacefully in her home, surrounded by her family - her loving husband Arthur (Art), and daughters, Kimberley (Richard and grandsons, Keaton and Kiefer) and Kerry. A strong woman who always knew her own mind, she passed away as she lived - on her own terms. In the time since her diagnosis, Jan and her family appreciated all of the messages of love and support from friends and extended family in Ontario, Quebec, Barbados, Boston, the UK and Nova Scotia, especially those in her beloved Harbourville. Special thanks to the amazing Palliative and End-of-Life Care teams, and especially to Erica, for their compassion and support. In accordance with her wishes, there will be no funeral. The family will instead host a small celebration of life at a later date. Anyone wishing to commemorate her passing through an act of kindness is encouraged to make a donation to Safe Haven Animal Rescue Annapolis Valley. Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
