Herbert Eugene "Herbie" Williams

1954-2024

Herbert Eugene "Herbie" Williams

Herbert Eugene "Herbie" Williams, 70, of Kentville, passed away with family by his side on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Kentville, he was a son of the late Herbert and Jean (Carnell) Williams.

Prior to retirement, Herbie worked for Graves/Great Valley Juices and Colby Foods, as well as for Bradshaw Roofing. Herbie was brought up on his family farm, helping to raise horses, Shetland ponies, cattle and pigs, which led him to his love of animals. He worked with horses mainly but loved all the farm animals equally. Herbie was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed dip net fishing in the Gaspereau River for smelt, would gather fruits and vegetables to disburse around the community and enjoyed working outside. Herbie was a kind, quiet man, who was generous with his words and actions and would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. His friends and family will forever miss his big smile that he always wore.

Herbie is survived by his loving wife, Beth (Estabrooks) Williams; son, Darren (Marie Eve Losier), Six-Roads, NB; granddaughter, Sophia Losier-Williams, Six-Roads, NB; brother, Ronnie "Peanut" (Leta) Williams, Centreville; sisters, Marlene "Maggie" Williams (the late Andrew Smith), Windsor; Tammy (Dave) Silver), Greenwood and Rowena (Allan) Hines, Coldbrook; nieces and nephews, Brett (Sarah), Michelia (Justin), Michelle, Mikey, Danielle and Michael; great-nieces and great-nephews, Hayden, Landen, Leo, Grace, Carly, Hayden, Kathrina and Michael; as well as several cousins, including Bedford; his favourite cousin, Glenda; oh, and Billy too.
