Elma Naguerlin and Renan Jr. Naguerlin Colimbo

It is with unmeasurable sadness the family of Elma Naguerlin, age 62 and Renan Naguerlin Colimbo Jr., age 9, announce their sudden passing on Saturday, October 12, 2024 as a result of a motor vehicle accident.

Elma Naguerlin was born in the Philippines on October 13, 1961, daughter of the late Alfredo Gurat and Mercedes Mallari Gurat. She immigrated to Canada in March of this year to be with her daughter, Hazel and her family, after the death of her husband, Syvio Naguerlin.

Renan Jr. was born in the Philippines on October 7, 2015, and moved to Canada with his parents, Renan Colimbo and Hazel Naguerlin in September 2021. He was a student at Kingston and District Elementary School and had a love of cooking, especially breakfast in bed, playing nerf guns, basketball games and had a love for reading books.

Elma is survived by her children, Hazel (Renan Colimbo), Ronald and John; and siblings, Wilfredo, Elvie, Elsa, Tessie, Lyden, Robert and Jumar. Renan Jr. is also survived by his parents, Hazel and Renan Colimbo, and uncles, Ronald and John; as well as their large extended family and many friends.

Visitation for both Elma and Renan Jr. will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Monday, October 28, 2024 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, immediately followed by the funeral service (with livestream available), starting at 4:00 p.m. Rev. Daniel Cormier officiating. Cremation will follow the service.
