Wayne Richard Davis

1958-2025

Wayne Richard Davis

It is with great sadness I wish to announce my death on Monday, April 14, 2025 in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. I was born on October 9, 1958 in Liverpool, NS to wonderful parents, Harry Armand Davis and Verna Elizabeth (Slauenwhite) Davis.

Left to mourn is my wonderful wife of almost 37 years, Christine Jane (Smith) Davis; my son, Keith, at home; brother, Ted, Lakeville; granddaughters, Teigan at home, Seren, Coldbrook; honorary grandson, MacKenzie Hall, Regina, SK. I was predeceased by my parents, daughter, Danielle Mae in infancy, and sister, Patricia.

In my younger years, most of my time was spent at the ball parks playing the game I loved. Later, after my father’s passing, we moved to the Kentville area. I worked for over 33 years with Maple Leaf Foods in Canard, and 14 years with Kings Point to Point, Kentville. I was a proud member of the Kentville Volunteer Fire Department for 18 years and 7 months.

In keeping with my wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 21 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. Greg White officiating. For those unable to attend, a livestream of the service will be available online. Interment will take place in Chipman Corner Cemetery, followed by a reception at the Centreville Community Hall.

Donations in memory may be made to Diabetes Canada, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of NS, the Canadian Cancer Society, or a charity of choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
