Eric Dowson Jackson

Eric Dowson Jackson – 81, of Sheffield Mills, Kings County, passed away on Friday, February 6, 2026 in Valley Hospice, Kentville. Born in Chesterfield, England, he was a son of the late Frank and Stella (Marshall) Jackson. Prior to his retirement, Eric worked as a microbiologist for the Kentville Research Station. Eric is survived by his sons, Chris (Shanna) and Nick, and his brother, David (Jane) Jackson. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Barbara (Kennedy), RN in December 2022. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation and gratitude to the Valley Regional Hospital Dialysis Unit for the exceptional care and compassion given to Eric. A very special thank you to Valley Hospice for providing Eric with comfort and dignity in his final days. A service will be held at St. John's Anglican Church, Port Williams, February 14, 2026 at 11:00am. Donations in memory may be made to your local SPCA or the Kidney Foundation.
