Robert Harold "Rob" Berlemont
1962-2026
Robert Harold "Rob" Berlemont – 63, of Chipman Brook, NS passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 29, 2026 in Fort McMurray, AB. Born in Brampton, Ontario, he was a son of Muriel (Sanford), and the late Frederick Berlemont.
He is survived by children, Brianna Berlemont (Duane Bond), Lauren (Nick) Sullivan, Luke Berlemont, and their mother, Jane; grandchildren, Harper and Anna; brothers, Dan (Heather MacIntosh) and Mark (Shelley); sister, Karen (Mike) Green; many nieces, nephews; extended family, friends and colleagues.
In addition to his father, Rob was predeceased by his sister, Roseanne Brown.
Rob was a dedicated truck driver out west in Alberta, where he worked since 2011. He had worked for Pipestone Carriers since 2014. He took great pride in his work and was known for his strong work ethic, reliability, commitment to getting the job done and doing so safely. Prior to starting his career as a truck driver, he spent many of his younger years working for Honda in Kentville, NS, and then Royson’s Flooring in Coldbrook, NS.
Some of his passions included hunting with his brother Dan and friends, participating in the Springer Spaniel Club, and working on multiple projects with his brother Mark.
He was affectionately known as ‘Bampi’ and spent much of his off time in Nova Scotia playing and reading to his granddaughters.
Rob showed great inner strength and determination throughout his life. He embraced the AA program and made many significant and lasting friendships that meant so much to him.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation, by request. A celebration of life, including reception, will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2026 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Greg White officiating. For those unable to attend, a livestream of the service will be available. Donations in memory may be made to Threads of Life (a nationwide charity supporting those affected by workplace tragedy).
