Jaymie Marie Williams
1986-2026
Jaymie Marie Williams passed unexpectedly in the early hours of May 17, 2026 on Annapolis Valley First Nation near Cambridge, Nova Scotia at the age of 39.
Born in Kentville, Nova Scotia, Jaymie was predeceased by her parents, Jim and Cathy (Wilson) Williams and is the youngest of three daughters. She is survived by her son, Joseph, AB; sister, Heather, AB; and sister, Christina, ON. In addition to her parents, Jaymie was predeceased by her fiancé, Roland Young of Kentville.
Jaymie dedicated many years caring for the vulnerable and elderly in the Annapolis Valley as a Continuing Care Assistant (CCA). She connected genuinely with the residents and clients in her care. The majority of her career was spent in Evergreen Home for Special Care in Kentville.
Jaymie was deeply connected to her home province of Nova Scotia, and always returned after periods in Alberta, Ontario and Newfoundland. Her disarming and endearing qualities helped her form fast friendships within all walks of life in the communities she called home.
Jaymie was looking forward to reconnecting with her son, Joseph, and spending the summer with him.
Cremation has taken place. The funeral service will take place 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 10, 2026 in the St. James Anglican Church, Kentville. Her cremains will be interred in The Garden of Rest, St. James Burial Ground, alongside her parents. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations go to PeopleWorx Society, a non-profit organization helping career seekers in the Annapolis Valley where Jaymie obtained her CCA certification.
