Norman Avard Card

1962-2026

Norman Avard Card

Norman Avard Card – 63, of Kentville, Nova Scotia, passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, on August 26, 1962, he was the son of the late Norman and Judith (Parker) Card.

Norm was a talented mechanic and handyman who seemed able to fix just about anything. Known by family and friends as someone who could do it all, he especially enjoyed working on old cars and took great pride in bringing them back to life. A long-time member of Valley No. 90 Masonic Lodge in Berwick, Nova Scotia, he valued the friendships and fellowship he found there over the years. In quieter moments, he could often be found enjoying his favorite country music, rarely missing the Saturday Night Classics on the Kentville radio, which brought him so much joy. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, willingness to lend a hand, and the many skills and talents he shared with others.

Norm is survived by his wife of 25 years, Carolyn (Spencer) Galley-Card; sisters, Nancy (Dave) Williams and Tina (Pete) Gougeon; and niece, Tara Williams.
