It's with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our father, Daniel "Danny" Dunham, at the age of 73. Danny died peacefully in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville, surrounded by his children and his care workers of New Visions Care Homes.
Danny is survived by his children, Bill (Melanie), of Kentville, Nicole (Dan), of Waterville, Steven Schnare, of Windsor, and Daniel Schnare (Tarryn), of Windsor. Danny is also survived by 6 grandchildren and brother, Gary (Carolyn), of Lower Sackville, and sister, Tanya Dunham, of Kentville.
Danny is predeceased by his mother, Edith Dunham (Bennett); father, Bill Dunham; His baby sister, Mary Ann; and best friend, Terry Kynock.
Danny was an avid boater and fisherman and could always be found wearing a wet suit. He loved fixing up cars and his jobs as a heavy equipment mechanic, and animal control worker. Danny was a collector of many things and spent numerous hours fixing and tinkering. He lived a large life with camping trips with his children at Blomidon Campground. A private service will take place at Berwick Cemetery. In honor of his memory and his kitty friend Taz, donations can be made to the Annapolis Valley Cat Rescue.
A huge thank you to New Visions Care Homes for your kindness and care of our father over the years.
Cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville. Thank you for help navigating this journey with such compassion.
