Lillian Louise Graves-Sanford
1954-2026
August 22, 1954 – June 16, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lillian Louise Graves-Sanford on June 16, 2026, at the age of 71.
Born on August 22, 1954, she was a daughter of the late Marguerite Graves and Fredrick Graves Jr. She is survived by her husband, Donnie Sanford; her sons, Jeffery Graves and Shawn Graves; grandchildren, Danielle Trivett, Shayna Nickerson, Kennedy Graves, Zander Graves, Angus Graves, Sophia Johnston, Isaiah Jones, Ryan Jones, Cody Jones; great-grandchild, Skyler Nickerson-Saulnier and, of course, her grand pup, Aries. She is remembered by her brothers, Richard Graves, Mike Graves, and Lawrence Porter, as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
She was predeceased by her sisters, Edith Wentzell, Susan Hines, and Carol Graves; her brothers, Brian Graves and Paul Graves; her parents; and her grand pup, Annabelle.
She found great comfort and happiness in attending church, going for scenic drives and spending time at the beach. She never missed an opportunity to watch The Price Is Right or just about anything on the Game Show Network. She loved playing bingo, completing game and puzzle books, and spending precious time with her family.
She never met a stranger and could strike up a conversation with just about anyone. Her kindness, generosity, and caring spirit touched countless lives. She was the kind of person who would truly give the shirt off her back to help someone in need, expecting nothing in return.
She also had a few favourite treats that always brought a smile to her face, a good meal at Callister's Country Kitchen and a classic Big Mac from McDonald's.
In keeping with Lillian’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 12, 2026 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Pastor Christina Bigelow officiating. Interment will take place in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville. Online condolences and inquiries may be directed to www.whitefamilyfuneralhome.com.
Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever in our hearts.
