Phyllis W. Collins
1926-2026
Phyllis W. (Houghton) Collins, 99, of Charlton, Massachusetts, died Monday, March 23, 2026, at Brookdale Eddy Pond West in Auburn, Massachusetts, with her family by her side.
Born in East Halls Harbour, Kings County, she was the daughter of the late Willard and Mary Ellen (Borden) Houghton.
In addition to her parents, Phyllis was predeceased by her husband of 46 years, C. Milton Collins, who died in 1992; one brother; and two sisters.
She is survived by five children, twelve grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She moved to the U.S. in the early 1950’s with her husband and four children, and her last child was born in the United States. She enjoyed taking care of her home and family.
She was an avid quilter and enjoyed knitting, crocheting and baking. She always considered her family to be the light of her life. Phyllis always enjoyed the time she spent with her First congregational Church family.
A private family graveside service will take place at East Aylesford Union Cemetery.
