Deborah Joan Amberman

Deborah Joan (Cavanagh) (Walsh) Amberman – 70, of New Minas, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 5, 2026 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville, after a sudden illness, with her loving family by her side. She had previously fought a long and courageous battle with pulmonary fibrosis of the lungs and was given only five years to live, that was almost ten years ago. Born in Wolfville, June 6, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Joan (Cavanagh) Chase and the late Clarence Cavanagh. She graduated from Mack Business College in 1973. She worked at various banking jobs until 1989 when she went to work at A.C.A. Poultry until her illness began in 2007. She is survived by her husband, Harold; her daughter, Katherine "Katie" Walsh (Michael Vaughan); grandsons, Hunter and Ficher Walsh-Vaughan; son, David "D.J." Walsh (Christine); grandson, Brandon; step-grandchildren, Maddison and Carter Myles; stepdaughter, Donna Milne (Kevin); step-grandson, Corey; step-granddaughter, Mackenzie; step-great-grandson, Ryder; stepson, Gordon Amberman (Marlene Farris); step-grandson, Riley and step-granddaughter, Victoria. Her brother, Cyril Cavanagh and stepsister, Paulette (Chase) Whitman (David). Cremation has taken place. Funeral service and burial to be held at a later date. Donations in memory may be made to a charity of choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
