Ellen Brown Dinse Putnam

Ellen Brown Dinse Putnam - 93, of Auburn, Nova Scotia, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family and her dear friend, Heather Jordan, on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at the Evergreen Home for Special Care in Kentville.
Born in Edinburgh, Scotland, Ellen was the beloved daughter of the late Lawrence and Margaret Brown Dinse.
Ellen worked at CANEX, 14 Wing Greenwood, where she was known for her friendly nature and warm personality. A genuine people person with many cherished friends, she especially enjoyed spending time tending to her gardens and feeding her "Dickie Birds".
She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Ron of Ottawa, Ontario and Derek (Laurie) and granddaughter, Hailey of Belleville, Ontario; her brother, Charlie, of Scotland; her sisters, Mary, of Australia, and Elizabeth, of Scotland.
In addition to her parents, Ellen was predeceased by her brother, Laurie.
In keeping with Ellen’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will be held on 23 August at Port George.
On her behalf a memorial donation may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia.
