Leslie Ann Murphy

Leslie passed away peacefully on Sunday July 19th 2026 in her home in Kentville. She was born February 6th, 1951 in Liverpool and lived her entire life in the province that she loved most, Nova Scotia. Leslie graduated from Horton High School and went on to Mack Business School in Halifax. She was a hard worker and spent her career in administrative roles at the Dalhousie School of Dentistry, Derrick Kimball Law, Waterbury Newton Law in the Registry of Deeds and a local dental office. In her youth, she was a great swimmer and was on the Kentville Swim Team. Leslie was an avid curler and loved her Toronto Blue Jays and basically any sport she could watch on TV! She knit and crocheted many outfits for friends and family members. As the wisest matriarch of the family, she never hesitated to share her knowledge on a broad range of topics and would never miss a friend or family celebration. She was so proud of her nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews, and always had a generous supply of sweet treats and candies for them to enjoy. She was famous for her tins of cookies and treats at Christmas and arrived with meals when needed. Leslie had a large network of friends that she enjoyed and cherished. She loved animals and birds and was well known for her fluffy white dogs and cool cars. Leslie was the eldest daughter of the late Phil and Verna Murphy, she was predeceased by her sister Jane (Brock, Drew). She is survived by her sisters Betty (Sean, Michelle), Lyndsay (Meghan, Siobhan, Keith, Elizabeth), Patti (Jack, Lilli, Sam), great nieces and nephews, Braedyn, Sophia, Oliver, Rhodes, Eva, Freya, Callan, Seth, Harper, Sofia, Nova, Cadence, Kai and Felix. Leslie will be greatly missed by her friends and family. A gathering of all friends and family will be held 1:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, with a sharing of memories at 2:00 p.m. at the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, followed by internment at Willowbank Cemetery.
