Bonita Christine "Bonnie" (Lake) Strong

1960-2026

Bonita Christine "Bonnie" (Lake) Strong

Bonita Christine "Bonnie" (Lake) Strong, age 66, of Berwick, passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at Valley Hospice in Kentville. Born in Windsor, NS, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Marie (Chisholm) Lake.

At seventeen the green-eyed Bonnie met the blue-eyed Randy, and the two were set for life. The starry-eyed romantics fell in love and began a journey that would take them many places and into many lives. After a few years of driving fast cars and enjoying everything the world had to offer, Bonnie and Randy eventually settled down in the Annapolis Valley, where they would spend the remaining years raising their family, while still having the occasional adventure. Highlights include family vacations around the province and to Cape Breton, a chance to cross the county as well as many other sandy, sunny, beautiful spots, usually with a sweet treat included. Always an admirer of birds and nature, Bonnie retired with Randy to a secluded slice of paradise in the countryside, surrounded by many favourites, included hummingbirds and cardinals, not to mention the sunsets.

She is survived by her loving husband, Randy; son, Colin (Dejah Roulston-Wilde); daughter, Alicia; brothers, Bob (Joan), Greg (Valerie); sister, Debbie Doyle; grandchildren, Rupert and Claire Wilde-Strong; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Diane Bennett; brother, Bill, and brothers-in-law, John and Brian.

Visitation will take place from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 28th in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 29th in St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Kentville, followed by a reception to be held in the lower hall.
