Lorraine O. French

Lorraine Olive French - 63, of New Minas, passed away Monday, February 27, 2012 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Bell Island, Newfoundland, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Jean (White) Noseworthy. She was employed with ACA Co-op and Hillaton Foods for 18 years. She is survived by her companion of 38 years, Russell Rogers; two daughters, Judy (David) Neil, Dartmouth; Sandra (Clayton) Allen, Wolfville; two sons, Lloyd (Tammy), Kentville; Russell (April), Yarmouth; four sisters, Lillian (Gerald) Mercer, Roslyn (Wally) Taplin, Inez Tucker and Anita (Brian) Noseworthy, all of Ontario; a brother, Cecil (Amanda), Ontario; 12 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Fred; a grandson, Christopher Purdy. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, February 29, 2012 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, where the funeral service, followed by a reception, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 1, 2012, Major Ross Grandy officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill. Donations in memory may be made to the Annapolis Valley Victorian Order of Nurses - Home Care or the Salvation Army. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
